Ron Jones
Ron Jones is an American educator and author best known for his role in the social experiment known as the Third Wave. In 1967, while teaching high school in California, he created a movement to demonstrate how easily people can be influenced by authoritarianism. The experiment involved strict rules and a sense of community, which quickly escalated and surprised both students and Jones himself.
The Third Wave experiment gained national attention and has been the subject of various discussions and analyses regarding conformity, power, and the nature of fascism. It serves as a cautionary tale about the potential for ordinary individuals to engage in oppressive behavior under certain conditions.
