Romansh Language
Romansh is a Romance language spoken primarily in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It has several dialects, with Sursilvan and Sutsilvan being the most widely used. Romansh is one of the four national languages of Switzerland, alongside German, French, and Italian.
The language has a rich history, influenced by Latin and the surrounding Germanic languages. In 1982, Romansh was standardized to promote its use and preserve its cultural heritage. Today, efforts continue to support its teaching in schools and its presence in media, ensuring that this unique language remains vibrant.
