Rolf Nevanlinna
Rolf Nevanlinna was a Finnish mathematician born on January 28, 1895, and he passed away on July 28, 1980. He is best known for his contributions to the field of complex analysis, particularly in the area of function theory. Nevanlinna developed the Nevanlinna theory, which studies the value distribution of meromorphic functions.
In addition to his work in mathematics, Nevanlinna was also involved in education and served as a professor at the University of Helsinki. His research has had a lasting impact on both theoretical and applied mathematics, influencing various areas such as mathematical analysis and number theory.
