Rock Dove
The Rock Dove, also known as the Rock Pigeon, is a bird species commonly found in urban areas around the world. It has a stout body, a small head, and a long tail, with a variety of colors, including gray, white, and brown. Rock Doves are known for their strong homing ability, which allows them to return to their nests over long distances.
These birds primarily feed on seeds and grains, often foraging in parks and streets. Rock Doves are social creatures, typically seen in flocks. They are also the ancestors of many domestic pigeon breeds, which have been selectively bred for various traits over centuries.
