Robert Lewis Stevenson
Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish author born on November 13, 1850, in Edinburgh. He is best known for his adventure novels, particularly Treasure Island, which tells the story of pirates and buried treasure, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, a tale exploring the duality of human nature.
Stevenson's writing is characterized by vivid storytelling and rich characters. He traveled extensively, which influenced his work, and he spent his later years in Samoa, where he died on December 3, 1894. His contributions to literature continue to be celebrated today.
