River Turia
The River Turia is a river in eastern Spain that flows through the city of Valencia. Originally, it was a significant waterway, but after a devastating flood in 1957, the river was diverted away from the city. This change allowed for the development of green spaces and parks in the former riverbed.
Today, the Turia Gardens stretch for about 9 kilometers, providing a recreational area for residents and visitors. The park features walking and cycling paths, playgrounds, and various gardens, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities in Valencia.
