River Spey
The River Spey is one of Scotland's longest rivers, stretching approximately 107 miles (172 kilometers) through the Scottish Highlands. It flows from its source in the Monadhliath Mountains to the Moray Firth, where it empties into the North Sea. The river is known for its scenic beauty and is a popular destination for fishing, particularly for salmon.
The River Spey also plays a significant role in the local economy, supporting whisky production in the region. Several famous distilleries, such as Glenfiddich and Macallan, are located along its banks, taking advantage of the pure water and unique climate.
