Ring-Tailed Lemurs
Ring-tailed lemurs are a species of primate native to Madagascar. They are easily recognized by their long, black-and-white striped tails, which they use for balance and communication. These social animals live in groups called troops, typically consisting of 10 to 30 individuals.
These lemurs are primarily herbivorous, feeding on fruits, leaves, and flowers. They are known for their unique behavior of sunbathing, where they sit upright with their arms outstretched to absorb sunlight. Ring-tailed lemurs are currently classified as endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
