Right Ventricle
The right ventricle is one of the four chambers of the heart, located on the lower right side. Its primary function is to pump deoxygenated blood into the lungs through the pulmonary artery. This process allows the blood to receive oxygen and release carbon dioxide, which is essential for maintaining healthy body function.
The right ventricle has a thinner wall compared to the left ventricle, as it only needs to pump blood a short distance to the lungs. It is part of the pulmonary circulation, which is crucial for oxygenating blood before it returns to the left side of the heart and is distributed throughout the body.
