Richard Henry Lee
Richard Henry Lee was an American statesman and a prominent figure in the early history of the United States. Born on January 20, 1732, in Virginia, he is best known for his role in advocating for independence from British rule. Lee introduced the resolution for independence in the Second Continental Congress in 1776, which ultimately led to the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
