Resource Description and Access
Resource Description and Access (RDA) is a set of guidelines and standards designed to help libraries and other organizations describe and provide access to various resources, such as books, articles, and digital content. It focuses on the needs of users, ensuring that they can easily find and understand the resources available to them.
RDA builds on earlier cataloging standards, like AACR2 (Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Second Edition), and emphasizes the importance of clear and consistent descriptions. By using RDA, libraries can create more user-friendly catalogs that improve the overall experience of discovering and accessing information.
