Dublin Core
Dublin Core is a set of metadata standards used to describe digital resources, making them easier to find and manage. It consists of 15 core elements, such as title, creator, subject, and date, which provide essential information about a resource. This standardized approach helps improve the organization and retrieval of information across various platforms.
Originally developed in 1995 during a workshop in Dublin, Ohio, the Dublin Core has since been widely adopted in libraries, archives, and online databases. Its simplicity and flexibility allow it to be used for a variety of resource types, including documents, images, and videos.
