Remora
The remora is a type of fish known for its unique ability to attach itself to larger marine animals, such as sharks, turtles, and whales. It has a specialized suction disc on its head that allows it to cling to these hosts, benefiting from their movement through the water and gaining access to food scraps.
Remoras are typically small, ranging from 15 to 30 inches in length. They are often found in warm ocean waters and are known for their streamlined bodies, which help them swim efficiently. This symbiotic relationship provides remoras with protection and sustenance while offering their hosts a form of cleaning by removing parasites.
