Regular Polyhedron
A regular polyhedron is a three-dimensional shape with flat faces, where each face is a congruent regular polygon. There are only five types of regular polyhedra, known as the Platonic solids: tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. Each vertex of a regular polyhedron has the same number of edges meeting at it, ensuring symmetry throughout the shape.
These shapes are significant in various fields, including mathematics, art, and architecture. Their unique properties make them useful in studying geometric concepts and in creating aesthetically pleasing designs. Regular polyhedra also appear in nature, such as in the structure of certain crystals and viruses.
