Regular Franciscans
Regular Franciscans, also known as the Order of Friars Minor, are a religious community founded by Saint Francis of Assisi in the early 13th century. They emphasize a life of poverty, humility, and service, following the teachings of Christ and the example of Saint Francis. Their mission includes preaching, teaching, and caring for the poor and marginalized.
Members of this order live in community and adhere to a rule of life that promotes simplicity and devotion. Regular Franciscans are often involved in various ministries, including education, social justice, and environmental stewardship, reflecting their commitment to living out the Gospel in everyday life.
