Regions of the Philippines
The Philippines is divided into 17 regions, each with its own unique culture and geography. These regions are grouped into three main island groups: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Each region has its own capital and is known for specific attractions, such as Palawan in Mimaropa, famous for its stunning beaches and natural parks.
Regions are further subdivided into provinces, cities, and municipalities. For example, the National Capital Region (NCR) includes Metro Manila, the country's bustling capital. Other notable regions include Central Visayas, known for its vibrant marine life, and Davao Region, famous for its diverse ecosystems and the Philippine Eagle.
