Regions of Senegal
Senegal is divided into 14 regions, each with its own unique characteristics. The capital, Dakar, is located in the Dakar Region, which is known for its vibrant culture and bustling markets. Other notable regions include Thiès, famous for its agriculture, and Saint-Louis, recognized for its colonial architecture and historical significance.
The Casamance region, located in the south, is known for its lush landscapes and diverse ethnic groups. Kedougou is another region, rich in natural resources and home to the Niokolo-Koba National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Each region contributes to the cultural and ecological diversity of Senegal.
