Regional Natural Parks of France
The Regional Natural Parks of France are protected areas that aim to preserve the natural environment while promoting sustainable development. These parks showcase diverse landscapes, including mountains, forests, and coastlines, and are home to various plant and animal species. They also offer recreational activities such as hiking, cycling, and wildlife observation.
Established in the 1960s, there are currently over 50 regional parks across France. Each park is managed by local authorities in collaboration with the French Ministry of Ecological Transition. These parks play a crucial role in conserving biodiversity and supporting local economies through eco-tourism and agriculture.
