Red-tailed Tropicbird
The Red-tailed Tropicbird is a striking seabird known for its long, slender tail feathers and bright white plumage. It has a distinctive black line running from its eye to the back of its head, and its wings are long and pointed, allowing for graceful flight over the ocean. This bird primarily inhabits tropical and subtropical regions, often nesting on remote islands.
These birds are excellent fliers, using their wings to glide effortlessly over the water. They feed mainly on fish and squid, diving into the ocean to catch their prey. The Red-tailed Tropicbird is also known for its loud, high-pitched calls, which can be heard during the breeding season when they gather in colonies to mate and raise their young.
