Randomized Chess
Randomized Chess, also known as Chess960, is a variant of traditional chess where the starting positions of the pieces are randomized. The only rule is that the pieces on the back rank must be arranged so that the two rooks are on opposite sides of the king, and the bishop pieces must be placed on opposite-colored squares. This creates 960 possible starting positions, hence the name Chess960.
The objective of Randomized Chess remains the same as in standard chess: to checkmate the opponent's king. This variant emphasizes creativity and adaptability, as players cannot rely on memorized openings and must think strategically from the very first move.
