Ramadhan
Ramadhan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, observed by millions of Muslims worldwide. It is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. During this month, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, refraining from food, drink, and other physical needs. The fast is broken each day with a meal called Iftar.
The significance of Ramadhan lies in its emphasis on spiritual growth, self-discipline, and empathy for the less fortunate. It is believed to be the month when the Quran, the holy book of Islam, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. The month concludes with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, a festival marking the end of fasting.
