Rama X
Rama X, officially known as Maha Vajiralongkorn, is the current King of Thailand. He ascended to the throne on December 1, 2016, following the death of his father, King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Rama X was born on July 28, 1952, and is the only son of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit. He has spent much of his life abroad, particularly in Germany and the United States.
As king, Rama X has significant ceremonial and constitutional responsibilities. His reign has seen a focus on national unity and stability, amid ongoing political challenges in Thailand. The monarchy remains a crucial institution in Thai society, with deep cultural and historical significance.
