Rakshastal
Rakshastal is a high-altitude lake located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, near the border with India. It is situated at an elevation of about 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) and covers an area of approximately 6.5 square kilometers. The lake is known for its stunning blue waters and is surrounded by the majestic Himalayas.
The lake is considered sacred in Hinduism and is often associated with the nearby Manasarovar Lake, which is revered as one of the holiest lakes. Rakshastal is believed to be the abode of demons, contrasting with the purity of Manasarovar. The region attracts pilgrims and tourists, offering breathtaking views and a unique spiritual experience.
