Raghavendra Swamy
Raghavendra Swamy was a prominent 17th-century Hindu saint and philosopher, known for his deep devotion to Lord Vishnu. He was born in 1595 in Brahmavara, Karnataka, and became a revered figure in the Dvaita school of philosophy, which emphasizes the distinction between the individual soul and the supreme being.
He is best known for his teachings and miracles, which attracted many followers. Raghavendra Swamy established the Raghavendra Math in Mantralayam, a significant pilgrimage site for devotees. His life and teachings continue to inspire many, and he is celebrated annually on his birthday, known as Raghavendra Jayanti.
