Rafael Viñoly
Rafael Viñoly was an Argentine-American architect known for his innovative designs and significant contributions to modern architecture. Born on July 1, 1944, in Montevideo, Uruguay, he studied architecture at the University of Buenos Aires before moving to the United States. His work includes notable buildings such as the Tokyo International Forum and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
Viñoly's architectural style often emphasized the relationship between structure and environment, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal. He founded the architectural firm Viñoly Architects in 1983, which has completed projects worldwide, earning him recognition in the field. Viñoly passed away on March 2, 2023.
