Radarsat-1
Radarsat-1 is a Canadian Earth observation satellite launched on November 4, 1995. It was designed to monitor and collect data about the Earth's surface using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology. This allows it to capture images regardless of weather conditions or daylight, making it valuable for various applications, including environmental monitoring, agriculture, and disaster management.
The satellite operated for over 11 years, providing critical information for scientific research and resource management. Radarsat-1 was succeeded by Radarsat-2 in 2007, which continued its mission of Earth observation and enhanced capabilities for users worldwide.
