RADARSAT-2
RADARSAT-2 is a Canadian Earth observation satellite launched in December 2007. It uses synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology to capture high-resolution images of the Earth's surface, regardless of weather conditions or daylight. This capability makes it valuable for various applications, including monitoring natural disasters, managing resources, and studying environmental changes.
The satellite orbits the Earth approximately every 24 days, providing data that supports scientific research and decision-making. RADARSAT-2 is part of the RADARSAT program, which aims to enhance Canada's ability to monitor its vast territory and contribute to global environmental initiatives.
