Radarsat Constellation Mission
The Radarsat Constellation Mission (RCM) is a Canadian satellite program designed to monitor the Earth's surface using synthetic aperture radar technology. Launched in June 2019, it consists of three satellites that provide high-resolution imagery for various applications, including environmental monitoring, disaster management, and maritime surveillance.
The RCM supports various sectors, such as agriculture, forestry, and urban planning, by delivering timely data to users. It enhances Canada's ability to respond to climate change and natural disasters while contributing to national security and sovereignty through improved surveillance of its vast territory and coastal regions.
