Rabbit-Proof Fence
"Rabbit-Proof Fence" is a 2002 Australian drama film directed by Phillip Noyce. It is based on the true story of three Aboriginal girls, Molly Craig, Daisy Kadibil, and Gracie Fields, who escape from a government settlement in 1931. The girls embark on a long journey to return to their families, following the rabbit-proof fence that was built to keep rabbits out of farmland.
The film highlights the historical injustices faced by the Aboriginal people in Australia, particularly the forced removal of children from their families, known as the Stolen Generations. It showcases the girls' resilience and determination as they navigate the harsh Australian landscape while evading authorities.
