Rabbinical Court
A Rabbinical Court, known as a Beth Din in Hebrew, is a Jewish court that adjudicates matters of Jewish law, or Halakha. It is typically composed of a panel of rabbis who are knowledgeable in religious texts and legal principles. These courts handle various issues, including marriage, divorce, and conversion, as well as disputes between individuals.
The decisions made by a Rabbinical Court are based on traditional Jewish law and can have significant implications for the parties involved. While their rulings are not legally binding in secular courts, they hold considerable authority within the Jewish community, and many choose to follow their decisions voluntarily.
