RADARSAT Constellation Mission
The RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM) is a Canadian satellite program designed to monitor and manage the Earth's resources and environment. Launched in June 2019, it consists of three satellites equipped with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology, which allows for all-weather, day-and-night imaging of the Earth's surface.
The primary objectives of RCM include supporting maritime surveillance, disaster management, and environmental monitoring. It provides valuable data for various applications, such as tracking ice conditions in the Arctic and monitoring changes in land use and natural disasters, benefiting sectors like agriculture, forestry, and urban planning.
