Queen Consorts
A Queen Consort is the wife of a reigning king. Unlike a queen regnant, who rules in her own right, a queen consort typically does not hold any governing power. Her role is often ceremonial, supporting the king in his duties and representing the monarchy at official events.
Queen consorts may also engage in charitable work and public appearances, helping to promote various causes. Historical examples include Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, who both played significant roles in their respective royal families while enhancing the public image of the monarchy.
