Quba Khanate
The Quba Khanate was a historical state located in the northeastern part of present-day Azerbaijan. It emerged in the early 18th century and lasted until the early 19th century. The khanate was known for its strategic position along trade routes and its rich agricultural lands, which contributed to its economic prosperity.
Governed by a series of khans, the Quba Khanate played a significant role in regional politics, often interacting with neighboring powers such as the Persian Empire and the Russian Empire. In 1806, it was annexed by Russia, marking the end of its independence and incorporation into the expanding Russian territories.
