Quarter Dollars
A quarter dollar, commonly referred to as a "quarter," is a coin worth 25 cents in the United States. It is one of the four main denominations of U.S. coins, alongside the penny, nickel, and dime. The quarter is made primarily of a copper-nickel alloy and features the profile of George Washington on the front, a design that has been in use since 1932.
In addition to the standard design, the U.S. Mint produces various commemorative quarters as part of the 50 State Quarters program and the America the Beautiful Quarters series. These special editions showcase unique designs that celebrate different states and national parks, reflecting the country's rich history and culture.
