50 State Quarters
The 50 State Quarters program was launched by the United States Mint in 1999 to celebrate each of the 50 states. Each quarter features a unique design that represents the history, culture, or significant symbols of the state it represents. The program ran until 2008, with five new quarters released each year.
Collectors and enthusiasts eagerly sought these quarters, making them popular among both casual and serious numismatists. The program aimed to promote interest in coin collecting and educate the public about the diverse heritage of the United States.
