Quaker Meetings
Quaker Meetings are gatherings of members of the Religious Society of Friends, commonly known as Quakers. These meetings provide a space for worship, reflection, and community. Participants often sit in silence, allowing for personal contemplation and spiritual connection. When moved to speak, individuals may share insights or messages that arise during the silence.
Meetings can vary in structure, with some being more formal and others more informal. In addition to worship, Quaker Meetings often engage in discussions about social justice, community service, and other issues important to their beliefs. This emphasis on collective decision-making reflects the Quaker principle of equality.
