Quaker Meeting
A Quaker Meeting is a gathering of members of the Religious Society of Friends, commonly known as Quakers. These meetings can be held for worship, business, or community activities. During worship, participants sit in silence, allowing for personal reflection and the opportunity to speak if moved by the Inner Light, a concept central to Quaker belief.
Meetings can vary in structure; some are unprogrammed, focusing on silent worship, while others are programmed with planned messages and music. Quaker Meetings often emphasize values such as simplicity, peace, integrity, community, and equality, guiding their interactions and decision-making processes.
