Quadruplets
Quadruplets are a set of four offspring born at the same time from the same pregnancy. They can be either identical, where all four share the same genetic material, or fraternal, where they come from separate eggs fertilized by different sperm. The occurrence of quadruplets is rare, with advances in fertility treatments contributing to an increase in multiple births.
Caring for quadruplets can be challenging due to the demands of feeding, changing, and nurturing four infants simultaneously. Families with quadruplets often require additional support and resources to manage the unique needs of their children, which can include help from pediatricians and nurses.
