QMJHL
The QMJHL, or Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, is a professional ice hockey league based in Canada. It is one of the three major junior leagues in the country and is known for developing young talent. Players in the QMJHL are typically between the ages of 16 and 20, and many go on to play in the NHL or other professional leagues.
Founded in 1969, the QMJHL features teams primarily from the province of Quebec, along with some from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The league operates under the umbrella of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and holds an annual championship called the President's Cup, awarded to the league's playoff champion.
