Pyu Language
The Pyu language is an ancient language that was spoken by the Pyu people in what is now Myanmar. It is part of the Sino-Tibetan language family and was used primarily between the 1st and 9th centuries CE. The language is known from inscriptions and manuscripts, which provide valuable insights into the culture and history of the Pyu civilization.
Although the Pyu language is no longer spoken today, it has contributed to the understanding of the region's linguistic development. Scholars study its inscriptions to learn about the interactions between the Pyu and neighboring cultures, including the influence of Buddhism and trade with other civilizations.
