Puyehue Volcano
Puyehue Volcano is located in the Andes mountain range in southern Chile. It is part of the Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcanic complex and has a history of significant eruptions, with the most notable occurring in 1960. This eruption was one of the largest in the 20th century and was associated with the Great Chilean Earthquake.
The volcano features a large caldera, which is a depression formed after an eruption. The surrounding area is known for its rich biodiversity and is part of the Puyehue National Park, attracting visitors for hiking, hot springs, and stunning landscapes.
