Pulping
Pulping is the process of breaking down raw materials, such as wood or recycled paper, into a slurry of fibers. This is typically done using mechanical or chemical methods to separate the cellulose fibers from lignin and other components. The resulting pulp can then be used to produce paper products.
After pulping, the pulp is often bleached to achieve the desired whiteness and remove any remaining impurities. The final pulp can be formed into sheets and dried, ready for use in various applications, including printing, packaging, and tissue products. This process is essential in the paper-making industry.
