Public Health England
Public Health England (PHE) was an executive agency of the Department of Health and Social Care in the United Kingdom. Established in 2013, its primary role was to protect and improve the nation's health and well-being. PHE focused on various public health issues, including disease prevention, health promotion, and health protection, working to reduce health inequalities across the population.
In 2021, PHE was replaced by the UK Health Security Agency and Office for Health Improvement and Disparities. These new organizations continue the mission of safeguarding public health, responding to health emergencies, and promoting healthier lifestyles among the public.
