Provinces of Nepal
Nepal is divided into seven provinces, each with its own unique culture and geography. These provinces were established in 2015 as part of the new federal structure. The provinces are named Province No. 1, Province No. 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province. Each province has a capital and is further divided into districts.
The provinces vary in size and population, with Province No. 2 being one of the most densely populated. Lumbini Province is known for its historical significance as the birthplace of Buddha, while Karnali Province is recognized for its natural beauty and remote landscapes.
