Provinces of Afghanistan
Afghanistan is divided into 34 provinces, each with its own unique culture and geography. Some of the most notable provinces include Kabul, the capital, known for its historical significance, and Herat, famous for its rich Persian heritage. Other provinces like Kandahar and Balkh also hold historical importance and are key to the country's economy and trade.
Each province is further divided into districts, which help in local governance. The provinces vary in size and population, with Nimroz being one of the least populated. The diverse ethnic groups, such as Pashtuns, Tajiks, and Hazaras, contribute to the cultural richness of each province.
