Prostate Gland
The prostate gland is a small, walnut-sized organ located below the bladder in men. It surrounds the urethra, the tube that carries urine and semen out of the body. The primary function of the prostate is to produce a fluid that nourishes and transports sperm during ejaculation.
As men age, the prostate can undergo changes, leading to conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer. Regular check-ups and awareness of symptoms, such as difficulty urinating, can help in early detection and management of prostate-related health issues.
