Properties of Integers
Integers are whole numbers that can be positive, negative, or zero. They do not include fractions or decimals. The set of integers is represented as ..., -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, .... Integers can be added, subtracted, multiplied, and divided (except by zero), and they follow specific properties such as the commutative, associative, and distributive properties.
One important property of integers is that they are closed under addition, subtraction, and multiplication, meaning that performing these operations on integers will always yield another integer. However, they are not closed under division, as dividing two integers can result in a non-integer.
