Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta
The Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta (PCA) is a political party in Alberta, Canada. Founded in 1905, it was one of the dominant political forces in the province for decades, promoting conservative policies and governance. The PCA focused on economic development, social stability, and fiscal responsibility.
In 2017, the PCA merged with the Wildrose Party to form the United Conservative Party (UCP), which aimed to unite Alberta's conservative voters. The PCA's legacy continues to influence Alberta's political landscape, as many of its former members and policies are integrated into the UCP's platform.
