Wildrose Party
The Wildrose Party is a political party in Alberta, Canada, founded in 2008. It emerged as a response to the desire for a conservative alternative to the ruling Progressive Conservative Party. The party advocates for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual freedoms, appealing to many conservative voters in the province.
In 2017, the Wildrose Party merged with the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta to form the United Conservative Party (UCP). This merger aimed to unite the conservative base in Alberta to better compete against the Alberta New Democratic Party (NDP). The Wildrose Party's legacy continues to influence Alberta's political landscape.
