The main ranges designated for private use are 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255, 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255, and 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255.
Devices within a private network can communicate with each other using these private IP addresses, while a single public IP address is often used to connect to the internet. This setup enhances security and conserves the limited number of available public IP addresses.
